An important development took place during the hearing of the alleged rape case involving a girl at the Lahore Sessions Court, where well-known YouTuber Rajab Butt withdrew his pre-arrest bail application.
The case had been registered by Nawab Town Police Station, and the hearing was conducted in the court of Additional Sessions Judge Syed Najaf Haider Kazmi.
During the hearing, the court reviewed the pre-arrest bail applications of Rajab Butt, Salman Haider, and other co-accused. Representing Rajab Butt in court was renowned lawyer Mian Ali Ashfaq Advocate, who presented his client’s stance before the judge.
During the proceedings, the investigation officer informed the court that based on the initial investigation, the allegations against Rajab Butt and two other suspects had not been proven. He stated that these individuals were not found to be guilty during the inquiry, after which Rajab Butt voluntarily decided to withdraw his pre-arrest bail application.
The court extended the interim bail of co-accused Salman Haider until July 3. The court also instructed both parties to appear for the next hearing, while the investigation into the case remains ongoing.
