Renowned Indian singer Sonu Nigam has revealed that he began his career with the legendary Pakistani singer Attaullah Khan Esakhelvi’s famous track “Achha Sila Diya Tune Mere Pyar Ka”, which played a pivotal role in his rise to success.
In a recent interview, Sonu Nigam shared his deep admiration for Attaullah Khan, explaining that he started his musical journey in 2011 by singing this song. According to Nigam, it proved to be the turning point of his career.
During the interview, Sonu Nigam acknowledged that much of his success is credited to Attaullah Khan Esakhelvi. He described him as a beautiful soul who has held great importance in his life and artistic growth.
The singer recalled that when he was just 19 years old, he received a phone call from Pakistan, where Attaullah Khan personally praised his rendition of the song, telling him that he had sung it beautifully. For Nigam, this moment was unforgettable and gave him immense encouragement at the beginning of his journey.
He added that he still wishes to dedicate part of his success to Attaullah Khan, as the song “Achha Sila” not only opened the doors of success but also became a source of his popularity across borders.
It is worth mentioning that Attaullah Khan Esakhelvi, hailing from the Isa Khel area of Mianwali, has sung in Urdu, Saraiki, and six other languages. With a career spanning over 30 years, he has recorded more than 4,000 songs. His track “Achha Sila Diya Tune Mere Pyar Ka”, released in 2006, remains one of his most celebrated songs to date.
