Naushahro Feroze: A horrific road accident on the National Highway in Naushahro Feroze district claimed seven lives on Sunday when a dumper truck rammed into a small Mehran car, leaving all passengers dead on the spot. The victims included two men, three women, and two children from the same family.
According to police, the accident occurred near the Sadoja police station limits, where a broken-down trailer was parked on the roadside. A Mehran car traveling behind slowed down due to the obstruction. Moments later, a speeding dumper truck slammed into the car from behind, reducing it to mangled wreckage. All seven occupants died instantly due to the impact.
Authorities confirmed that the deceased were residents of Luqman Janwari village in Khairpur district. Among the victims identified so far are Ghulam Muhammad, son of Bakhshan Janwari, and Ali Ahmed Janwari, while the process of identifying the remaining three women and two children is underway.
Police have seized the dumper truck and launched an investigation. SSP Naushahro Feroze, Mir Rohal Khan Khoso, took notice of the tragedy and ordered the registration of a case against those responsible.
The devastating crash has once again highlighted the dangers of reckless driving and inadequate safety measures on Pakistan’s highways, where fatal accidents continue to claim innocent lives.
