Pakistan’s e-gaming superstar Arslan Ash has once again made history by winning the EVO France 2025 championship in a thrilling grand final held in Paris. The tournament, one of the world’s most prestigious e-sports events, featured top-ranked Tekken players from across the globe competing for the coveted title.
Displaying exceptional composure, sharp strategic play, and flawless execution, Arslan Ash dominated his opponents one after another before delivering a flawless performance in the grand final to secure the title. This victory adds yet another remarkable chapter to his illustrious career.
Arslan Ash has previously won EVO Japan in 2019 and 2023, EVO America in 2019, 2023, and 2024, as well as the Tekken World Tour 2023. With this latest triumph, he now holds seven EVO titles, cementing his place among the greatest Tekken players in the world.
Celebrating his victory on social media, Arslan dedicated the win to Pakistan and its people. On his official X account, he wrote, “It may look like I’m holding this trophy, but this win belongs to everyone who believed in me.”
Sharing his journey, Arslan revealed that he comes from a middle-class family. After his father’s death, his mother supported the family through sewing work. She initially wanted him to become a doctor, but he chose to pursue gaming as a career, despite no one, not even his family or friends, believing in him at the time.
Arslan recalled how his gaming journey began at a small fruit shop in his neighborhood, where a video game machine was installed. The shop owner, affectionately called Baba Jee, supported his passion and even helped him get his first passport. Inspired by a Pokémon character, he added “Ash” to his name.
Although he lost his first international tournament in Malaysia, a gaming company recognized his potential and invited him to a tournament in Dubai, where he emerged victorious. That victory marked the beginning of his extraordinary journey on the global stage.
