At least nine people lost their lives and thirteen others were injured in separate traffic accidents in Chaghi district of Balochistan and Swabi district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In Balochistan’s Chaghi district, a collision between two vehicles occurred near the area of Yak Mach, resulting in seven fatalities and injuries to three people. According to police officials, the bodies and injured were immediately shifted to Dalbandin Hospital, where medical treatment is underway.
Meanwhile, another accident took place in Swabi on the M-1 Motorway near the Anbar Interchange, where five vehicles collided with each other. As a result, two people were killed and ten sustained injuries.
Rescue officials said that the injured and the deceased were transported to Bacha Khan Medical Complex. The vehicles involved in the accident were travelling from Peshawar to Islamabad. Traffic flow on the motorway remained disrupted for some time following the incident.
The exact causes of both accidents could not be determined immediately, and authorities have initiated investigations to ascertain the circumstances.
