The United States has approved the sale of equipment and spare parts for F-15 fighter jets to Saudi Arabia. According to the US Department of Defense, the Pentagon has authorized the defense deal with an estimated total value of around $3 billion, aimed at maintaining and enhancing the operational capabilities of Saudi Arabia’s F-15 aircraft fleet.
The Pentagon stated that under this agreement, a limited number of US civilian contractors or military personnel may be deployed in Saudi Arabia on a long-term basis to provide technical support, maintenance assistance, and training services related to the aircraft systems.
This development comes shortly after the United States approved the sale of Patriot missile systems to Saudi Arabia three days ago, a deal reportedly valued at approximately $9 billion. Defense analysts believe these agreements are intended to strengthen Saudi Arabia’s defense capacity and reinforce security cooperation in the region.
