The Sindh Education Department has instructed that all textbooks provided free of cost to students must be returned after the completion of annual examinations. The move aims to ensure proper management and reuse of educational resources across the province.
According to a spokesperson for the Sindh Education Department, schools have been directed to record the return of textbooks on students’ result cards while maintaining a proper and updated record of books issued and received.
The spokesperson further stated that all collected textbooks should be safely stored in school book banks so they can be utilized effectively in the upcoming academic sessions.
The department has also emphasized that the return of textbooks must be ensured from students at all levels, from primary to higher secondary. Additionally, district education officers have been instructed to submit detailed stock records to regional directors to strengthen monitoring and accountability mechanisms.
