The government has officially announced an increase in petroleum product prices, effective immediately, with revised rates for various fuel products.
According to the notification, petrol prices have increased by Rs 5 per litre, bringing the new price to Rs 258.17 per litre. Following this increase, consumers are expected to bear an additional financial burden while purchasing petrol.
Similarly, the price of high-speed diesel has been raised by Rs 7.32 per litre, setting its new rate at Rs 275.70 per litre. This decision is likely to impact transportation costs and the overall prices of essential commodities due to higher fuel expenses.

Meanwhile, the government has also increased the price of kerosene oil by Rs 4.73 per litre, after which the new price of kerosene has been fixed at Rs 180.53 per litre.
