The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has appointed Brigadier General Hossein Mohebi as its new spokesperson, according to an official statement.
According to foreign media reports, Hossein Mohebi has been appointed to replace Brigadier General Ali Mohammad Naeini, who was martyred last month in a US-Israeli airstrike.
The statement said that the appointment order was issued by Abdullah Haji Sadeghi, the Supreme Leader’s representative to the IRGC, after which Mohebi assumed his responsibilities.
Iranian media reported that Brigadier General Ali Mohammad Naeini had been serving as the IRGC spokesperson since 2024.
