UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has arrived in Saudi Arabia to support the ceasefire and promote peace in the region, where he is expected to hold key meetings with Gulf allies.
In his statement, the Prime Minister said that the United Kingdom must take all possible measures to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, as it is a vital route for global trade and oil supply.
During his visit, Sir Keir Starmer also toured King Fahd Air Base in Saudi Arabia and met with British troops stationed there, where he was briefed on the regional situation.
He emphasized the importance of diplomatic efforts for achieving long-term peace amid the ongoing tensions, stressing that dialogue remains essential for resolving conflicts.
This visit comes at a time when the Iran-related conflict and ceasefire efforts are drawing global attention, with multiple countries actively engaged in diplomatic initiatives.
