US President Donald Trump has stated that a strong and capable team has been sent for the Islamabad talks, marking a significant diplomatic development.
Speaking to journalists, President Trump said that Vice President JD Vance, special envoy Steve Witkoff, and his son-in-law Jared Kushner will hold meetings in Islamabad.
He expressed hope that the Strait of Hormuz will reopen soon and emphasized that any deal must ensure that Iran does not possess nuclear weapons, which would be beneficial for the United States.
Meanwhile, a high-level Iranian delegation has already arrived in Islamabad for talks with the United States, while US Vice President JD Vance has also departed for Islamabad.
The US delegation for the Islamabad talks will include Vice President JD Vance, special envoy Steve Witkoff, and Jared Kushner, who are expected to engage in key discussions.
