The Sindh government has extended the restrictions imposed under Section 144 for another month in view of maintaining law and order, keeping various activities restricted across the province.
According to a notification issued by the Home Department Sindh, protests, sit-ins, rallies, and display of weapons will remain strictly prohibited under Section 144 to prevent any untoward incidents.
The notification further stated that wall chalking and public gatherings will also remain banned across Sindh, while security guards will be allowed to carry weapons during duty to ensure safety measures.
The Home Department added that strict legal action will be taken against those who violate these orders, and Station House Officers have been empowered to take action under Section 188 to ensure enforcement of the law.
