The United States has intensified efforts to establish a new global alliance aimed at ensuring the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and restoring smooth maritime navigation in the region through coordinated international cooperation.
The US State Department has sent official communications to American embassies worldwide, directing them to engage with relevant countries and encourage participation in a proposed international agreement focused on safeguarding freedom of navigation.
According to US media reports, the proposed agreement has been named “Maritime Freedom Construct,” and it is intended to ensure safe and uninterrupted shipping through the Strait of Hormuz to prevent disruption to global trade.
It is worth noting that US President Donald Trump had claimed a few weeks earlier that the Strait of Hormuz was fully open and ready for business; however, recent developments have prompted Washington to take further diplomatic steps.
