Electricity consumers across Pakistan, including K-Electric users, are likely to receive major relief amounting to Rs 63.94 billion, which could reduce electricity bills for consumers.
According to the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority, power distribution companies have submitted a request for adjustment for the first quarter of the calendar year 2026.
NEPRA stated that it will hold a hearing on the request on May 19, during which the data and proposed adjustments submitted by the power companies will be reviewed.
Officials said that the final decision regarding relief for electricity consumers will be made after the completion of NEPRA’s hearing, and if approved, consumers across the country are expected to benefit from it.
