The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast strong winds and rain in most districts of Punjab from today until June 5, with heavy rainfall and hailstorms expected in some areas.
According to the department, a new system of western winds is entering the upper parts of the country, which is likely to bring significant weather changes across various cities of Punjab.
Officials said several areas may experience dust storms, strong winds, thunderstorms, and rainfall, while a few locations could receive heavy downpours accompanied by hail.
Meanwhile, intense heat in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has increased the risk of glacial lake outburst floods and localized flooding in vulnerable regions.
In response, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued alerts for Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, and Mansehra, directing relevant authorities to remain prepared for any emergency situation.
Citizens have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel during severe weather conditions and follow official advisories issued by weather and disaster management authorities.
