Iran has claimed to have carried out retaliatory strikes against multiple US military facilities across the region following recent American attacks.
In a statement, Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya military headquarters said the operation was conducted in response to what it described as US aggression and warned of a stronger reaction if attacks continue.
According to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, recent US strikes damaged a telecommunications tower and two water tanks in the southern Iranian region of Sirik.
The Revolutionary Guard also claimed responsibility for a drone attack targeting the headquarters of the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain.
Meanwhile, Russian media reports claimed that Iran shot down a US unmanned aerial vehicle in the Jam area, although American officials have not confirmed the report.
Iranian media further reported that missiles were launched at the US Al-Azraq military base in Jordan, with Iranian officials claiming that several key targets, including aircraft shelters and command facilities, were hit.
Iran also claimed to have targeted the Ali Al Salem military base in Kuwait with drones.
Kuwaiti military authorities stated that the country’s air defense systems remain active and are monitoring the airspace against potential threats.
The latest developments have further heightened tensions in the Middle East, prompting renewed international calls for restraint and de-escalation.
