Iran has claimed that it carried out retaliatory strikes against American military installations in the Gulf region following recent US attacks, targeting facilities in Bahrain and Kuwait.
According to Iranian news agencies, the Iranian military and the Revolutionary Guard launched missile and drone attacks against military and communications targets associated with the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain.
Iranian media reported that communications antennas and radar facilities linked to air defense systems were among the targets.
Meanwhile, Bahrain’s Interior Ministry issued an air raid alert, urging citizens and foreign residents to move to safe locations and follow official instructions.
The Revolutionary Guard also claimed responsibility for operations against American military bases in both Bahrain and Kuwait in response to US airstrikes.
According to Iranian state media, a total of 18 key targets were struck during two separate operational waves.
Iran stated that Ali Al Salem Air Base and Ahmed Al Jaber Air Base in Kuwait, as well as Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain, were targeted during the attacks.
Iranian officials described the operations as a direct response to recent American military actions.
However, US, Bahraini and Kuwaiti authorities have not officially confirmed the Iranian claims or released details regarding any possible damage.
With tensions continuing to rise across the region, security measures have been heightened and the international community is closely monitoring developments.
