The death toll from devastating earthquakes in Venezuela has risen to 3,342 as rescue and relief operations continue in affected areas.
According to Venezuela’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, two powerful earthquakes measuring 7.2 and 7.5 in magnitude struck the country on June 24, causing widespread destruction.
Authorities have confirmed that 3,342 people have died so far as a result of the disaster, while rescue operations remain underway.
Reports said more than 3,000 international aid workers and around 30,000 local personnel are participating in relief and rescue efforts.
