Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Doha on a one-day official visit to Qatar, where he will meet the country’s leadership and offer condolences on the passing of the former Emir of Qatar.
Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, and Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar also accompanied Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on the visit to Qatar.
During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will meet the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. He will also extend his condolences and sympathies to the Amir of Qatar, the Qatari royal family, and the people of Qatar on the demise of the former Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
The Prime Minister’s visit reflects the decades-long brotherly relationship between Qatar, the Qatari royal family, the people of Qatar, and the government and people of Pakistan, highlighting the strong and longstanding ties between the two countries.
It is worth mentioning that the former Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, passed away yesterday at the age of 74.
