The U.S. Embassy in the United Arab Emirates has announced the cancellation of all consular appointments until July 15 due to the regional security situation.
Consular services at the U.S. Consulate in Dubai will also remain affected until July 15. According to U.S. authorities, the decision has been made in light of the prevailing security conditions in the region.
The U.S. Embassy advised individuals with scheduled appointments not to visit the embassy on their assigned dates. Applicants will be contacted directly regarding the rescheduling of their appointments.
According to foreign media reports, non-emergency U.S. government personnel have also been relocated from the United Arab Emirates.
The U.S. Embassy further stated that all routine U.S. visa services will remain suspended until further notice, while passport services and other emergency consular assistance will be provided through email.
