US President Donald Trump has issued a fresh warning to Iran, saying that if no agreement is reached, the United States will target Iran’s power plants and bridges next week.
In a recent interview, Trump said US military strikes against Iran would continue until he personally decided to stop them.
The US president claimed Washington held talks with Iran on Tuesday and urged Tehran to agree to a deal.
Trump said Iran’s energy infrastructure would be considered a target in the final phase of military operations.
He warned that if Iran refused to negotiate or failed to reach an agreement, the United States would strike the country’s power plants and bridges next week.
Trump claimed the US would destroy all of Iran’s power plants and bridges.
He also said Iran had been severely weakened and had only limited capacity left to continue fighting.
Meanwhile, less than 24 hours after suggesting a 20 percent toll tax on the Strait of Hormuz, Trump reversed his position.
He said he did not support the idea of anyone charging tolls for passage through the Strait of Hormuz.
The US president further claimed that Gulf states would prefer investing in the United States rather than paying such a toll.
