According to sources, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Nawaz Sharif has instructed party leaders to avoid reacting to recent remarks made by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
The sources said that Nawaz Sharif emphasised the importance of maintaining unity and coordination between the government and state institutions during the current situation.
According to the reports, he told party members that Pakistan was facing significant economic, political and security challenges and that steps should be avoided that might create the impression of divisions between the government and state institutions.
Sources also claimed that some senior PML-N leaders had conveyed their concerns to Nawaz Sharif regarding Mohsin Naqvi’s recent statement about threats to the political system.
According to the sources, Nawaz Sharif advised party leaders to exercise restraint and stressed that maintaining institutional harmony was in the national interest.
Neither Nawaz Sharif nor the PML-N has issued an official statement on the matter so far.
