Karachi: Several people were injured after two groups clashed during a protest at Allah Wali Chowrangi on Tariq Road over the murder case of young businessman Mir Raza.
According to police, neither side has formally approached authorities over the clash so far, while further investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Separately, Mir Raza’s father Mir Hussain, his mother and sister joined a Jamaat-e-Islami sit-in, where they were received by JI Karachi chief Munem Zafar and other party leaders.
Addressing participants at the sit-in, Mir Hussain alleged that the existing system was protecting criminals.
“The system we are fighting against is standing against us with its entire machinery,” he said.
Mir Raza’s family and other groups have continued to demand justice in connection with his murder case.
