Pakistan ended the second day of the opening Test against the West Indies on 199 for 3 in their first innings, trailing the hosts by 112 runs.
Replying to West Indies’ first-innings total of 311, Pakistan lost opener Azan Awais without scoring, but captain Shan Masood and Imam-ul-Haq steadied the innings with a 155-run partnership for the second wicket.
Imam-ul-Haq scored 63, while Babar Azam contributed 23 before being dismissed.
At stumps, Shan Masood remained unbeaten on 88, with Salman Ali Agha yet to open his account.
Earlier, West Indies resumed their innings on 194 for 3. Keacy Carty Hodge scored 84, while Shai Hope made 92 before the hosts were bowled out for 311.
For Pakistan, Mohammad Ali claimed four wickets, Mohammad Abbas took three, Khurram Shahzad picked up two, and Aamer Jamal finished with one wicket.
Pakistan will resume Day Three needing another 112 runs to erase the first-innings deficit and move ahead.
