West Indies defeated Pakistan by 90 runs in the first Test at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba, taking a 1-0 lead in the two-match series.
Chasing a target of 211, Pakistan were bowled out for 120, with only captain Babar Azam offering significant resistance.
Babar remained unbeaten on 58, while Azan Awais, Imam-ul-Haq and Shan Masood scored 3 runs each. Ali Usman made 2, Khurram Shahzad scored 4, while Salman Ali Agha, Aamer Jamal and Mohammad Ali were all dismissed without scoring.
Earlier on the fourth day, West Indies resumed their second innings on 126 for 7 and were bowled out for 181, setting Pakistan a victory target of 211 after securing a 29-run first-innings lead.
In the first innings, West Indies posted 311, with Shai Hope scoring 92 and Keacy Hodge making 84. For Pakistan, Mohammad Ali claimed four wickets, while Mohammad Abbas took three.
Pakistan replied with 282 in their first innings, thanks largely to Shan Masood’s 109 and Imam-ul-Haq’s 63. Justin Greaves starred with the ball for West Indies, taking five wickets.
The victory gives West Indies a 1-0 advantage heading into the second and final Test.
