Pakistan has received its second LNG shipment from Qatar this month.
The LNG carrier Shandong Redwood, which departed from Qatar, berthed at the PGPL terminal on Wednesday morning.
The shipment was procured under a long-term LNG agreement between Pakistan and Qatar, with its price equivalent to 13.37% of the Brent crude price.
Pakistan contacted Iran to ensure safe passage for the shipment. The arrival of the LNG is expected to provide relief to the power sector, while supplies through the Strait of Hormuz remain strategically important.
