Government of Punjab expresses concern, stating that evidence of links between the attackers on Jinnah House and the leadership of extremist elements and political groups has been found.
It should be noted that after the arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan on May 9, protests erupted across the country, leading to violent clashes. During the turmoil, significant damage was inflicted on important military, government, and private buildings and properties, which were set ablaze.
According to a statement issued by the Punjab government, a high-level meeting was convened under the chairmanship of the caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi.
Inspector General of Police, Chief Executive Officer of Punjab Safe Cities Authority, and other senior officials briefed on the arrests, identification, and progress made in the investigation of the May 9 terrorist incidents.
