Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif contacted Pakistan’s Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Hasan Ali Zaigham by telephone and directed to provide full support and assistance to Pakistani students.
According to the statement released by the Prime Minister’s Office, the Prime Minister received information about the latest situation from the Pakistani ambassador in Bishkek and directed him to visit the hostels and meet the Pakistani students.
The Pakistani ambassador informed the Prime Minister that no Pakistani was killed in the incident. The Pakistani embassy is assisting the injured students.
The Prime Minister directed the Ambassador to be in constant contact with the parents of the students, provide timely information, provide all kinds of medical facilities to the injured students and make arrangements for the immediate return of the injured students who wish to return home.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that I am monitoring the situation in Kyrgyzstan myself. Do not leave your students alone in this situation. Our government is also in touch with the government of Kyrgyzstan.
Spokesperson of the Foreign Office, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, says that Pakistan’s Ambassador Hasan Zaigham and his team are present at the emergency numbers. Both numbers are also available on WhatsApp.

The Pakistani Embassy has opened emergency helplines to answer the queries of students and their families. Hassan Zaigham is in close contact with the Kyrgyz authorities.
