There is a possibility of a reduction in the prices of petrol and diesel starting from August 16.
According to sources, the price of petrol may decrease by 8.36 rupees per liter, and diesel could see a reduction of 7.70 rupees per liter.
Additionally, the price of light diesel is expected to decrease by 4.49 rupees, and the price of kerosene may drop by 7.71 rupees per liter.
Government sources indicate that the primary reason for the decrease in petroleum product prices is the reduced consumption by major economies. However, with three days remaining until August 16, fluctuations in POL (Petroleum, Oil, and Lubricants) prices are still possible.
