Balochistan’s port city Gwadar will host the player draft for the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
According to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the inaugural event of the PSL will take place on Saturday, January 11, 2025.
The decision to select Gwadar as the venue was made to bring the popular sport to this part of the province and inspire the upcoming generation to consider cricket as a professional career.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi stated that Gwadar, with its magnificent coastline and strategic importance, serves as the heart of Pakistan’s economic future.
He added that hosting the HBL PSL Player Draft here aims to highlight its cultural and economic significance while celebrating cricket, a sport that unites the nation.
Mohsin Naqvi anticipated welcoming all franchises and stakeholders to the beautiful city of Gwadar on January 11.
HBL PSL Chief Executive Officer Salman Naseer felt immense pride in announcing Gwadar as the host city for the HBL PSL Player Draft.
He emphasized that this step reflects the league’s commitment to extending its reach to every corner of Pakistan and showcasing the country’s beauty to the world.
