Islamabad (IPS) – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has decided to expand the cabinet.
According to details, the cabinet expansion will take place next week.
The cabinet will likely include Hanif Abbasi, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Pir Imran Shah, Dr. Tauqir Shah, Talal Chaudhry, and others.
Sources indicate that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has completed necessary consultations regarding expanding and reshuffling the federal cabinet.
It is expected that the new federal cabinet ministers will take oath on January 9 or 10.
It is worth noting that the federal cabinet currently comprises 18 members, while the total number of government portfolios is 33. Two Ministers of State, three Special Assistants, and one Advisor are part of the federal government.
Sources further stated that significant changes in major portfolios of the federal cabinet are not expected; however, responsibilities may be assigned to four to five Ministers of State.
