Washington: US President Donald Trump has urged Russian President Vladimir Putin to come to the negotiation table to resolve the Ukraine issue and warned that if Putin chooses not to negotiate, further sanctions could be imposed on Russia.
Speaking to journalists in Washington, Trump said that the Russian President should engage in talks to find a solution to the Ukraine conflict.
Additionally, Trump called on Chinese President Xi Jinping to help resolve the Ukraine issue and play his role in ending the conflict. The US President also emphasized the need for the European Union to increase its financial support for Ukraine. Trump further revealed that he is considering imposing a 10% tariff on China starting February 1, which could escalate trade tensions.
The US President made a significant announcement in the technology sector by launching the $500 billion “Stargate AI Project.” This project will involve $500 billion in investments with OpenAI, SoftBank, and Oracle AI, creating one million new jobs.
Furthermore, Trump expressed his interest in acquiring TikTok, stating that he is ready to buy the app. He mentioned that he has already met with TikTok’s owners and is considering whom to task with purchasing TikTok, with plans for half of its benefits to go to the United States.
