Pakistan’s national carrier (PIA) has dispatched its first international flight from the new Gwadar International Airport, bound for Muscat.
According to a PIA spokesperson, the airline has officially begun international services from the new Gwadar International Airport. Continuing its tradition, PIA’s inaugural international flight PK-197 took off for Muscat carrying 39 passengers.
On this occasion, PIA officials at Gwadar Airport saw off the travelers. Initially, PIA will operate one weekly flight on the Gwadar–Muscat route.
The spokesperson added that PIA is actively working to expand flight operations nationwide, in line with public needs and national aspirations.
