Sugar prices have risen by more than four rupees in a single week.
According to the report, sugar prices began increasing at the end of November, and the upward trend has continued.
For the eighth consecutive week in the country, an increase in sugar rates has been recorded. Within one week, sugar became 4 rupees and 14 paisas per kilogram more expensive.
The report further states that the average price of sugar in the country has now reached 145 rupees and 50 paisas per kilogram.
