Meta has dismissed 20 employees for leaking confidential information, with more terminations likely to follow.
The tech company announced that it had fired 20 employees for providing confidential data to the media. The company further stated that additional dismissals could occur as it takes strict measures to prevent internal information leaks.
According to a Meta spokesperson, employees are reminded at the time of joining and periodically thereafter that leaking information is a violation of company policy.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg expressed his frustration, stating that he will no longer speak openly about company matters, as efforts to maintain transparency have led to frequent leaks, which he finds highly disappointing.
He also warned employees to brace for significant changes in the company in the coming year.
