Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman stated that all parties involved in the 26th Amendment have committed a national crime.
While addressing a press conference in Karachi, Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman said that the 26th amendment was a criminal act, and the courts are not fulfilling their role. He added that in Karachi, a single project takes 10 years to complete, and half of the income tax is paid by Karachi, while the rest of the country contributes the remaining amount.
He further said that even after 15 years, the K-IV project has not been completed, nor has the circular railway project. Meanwhile, motorcycle riders in the city are falling victim to dumpers and tankers. Karachi needs 17,000 buses, but only 300 have been introduced.
Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman remarked that neither the Red Line nor the Orange Line is being constructed, labeling the authorities as both corrupt and incompetent. He said the Sindh government is a combination of corruption and incompetence, jeopardizing the future of thousands of children. He accused them of educational genocide, lamenting that, unfortunately, the people of the city have no true representatives except for Jamaat-e-Islami. He also stated that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has become a hub for enemies.
The Jamaat-e-Islami leader criticized MQM, saying that despite its political maneuvering, it has always been part of every government. He added that even under the new government, Pakistan Steel Mills is not operational, and 1,370 employees have been dismissed. He questioned how Pakistan Steel Mills, which used to be profitable, ended up in losses.
Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman further announced that after Ramadan, Jamaat-e-Islami will organize a massive million-man march to represent the people’s concerns. He emphasized that they are taking all necessary actions to resolve the city’s issues and that the oppression and injustice against Karachi will not be tolerated.
