Lahore Qalandars have written a new chapter in T20 cricket history by achieving the highest successful run chase ever recorded in a final match.
In the final of Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, Lahore Qalandars defeated Quetta Gladiators by 6 wickets, not only securing their third PSL title but also delivering a performance to remember.
The historic final was played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, where Quetta Gladiators won the toss and elected to bat first. Quetta scored 201 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs, setting a massive target of 202 for Lahore Qalandars.
Lahore chased down the target with remarkable skill and bravery, clinching the victory on the fifth ball of the final over. This was not only their third PSL trophy but also marked the highest successful run chase in the history of T20 finals.
Previously, the record for the highest successful chase in a T20 final was held by India’s Kolkata Knight Riders, who chased down 200 runs against Kings XI Punjab in the 2014 IPL final.
