Pakistan has achieved a significant breakthrough in its meat export sector, as rising demand for halal products in China has resulted in a new beef export order. In a formal notification to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, Organic Meat Company Limited confirmed that it has secured an order worth $7.5 million from China.
According to the company’s statement, under this new agreement, Pakistan will export fully cooked, frozen, boneless beef to China during the fiscal year 2025-26. The deal underscores the growing demand for halal protein products in China and reflects the potential of Pakistani companies to expand their footprint in international markets.
The agreement has been signed under the framework of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which is expected to further strengthen trade and economic ties between the two countries. The company assured that the exported beef will strictly adhere to international standards, ensuring premium quality halal products for Chinese consumers.
Industry experts believe that this development marks an important milestone for Pakistan’s meat export industry and could pave the way for greater expansion and new opportunities in the coming years.
