Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will depart today on a significant three-nation tour, during which he will visit Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The visit is being seen as a crucial moment in Pakistan’s foreign policy, providing an opportunity to strengthen bilateral ties and present Pakistan’s stance on pressing global issues.
The Prime Minister’s first stop will be Saudi Arabia, where he is expected to meet Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Discussions will focus on bilateral relations, new investment opportunities, and the latest developments in the Middle East. According to sources, the talks will also cover economic cooperation and potential collaboration in the energy sector.
Following his stay in Saudi Arabia, the Prime Minister will head to the United Kingdom, where he has scheduled meetings with senior British officials. These engagements will cover a wide range of subjects, including trade, education, and avenues for expanding mutual cooperation.
On September 21, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will travel to the United States to attend the 79th annual session of the United Nations General Assembly. His address to the Assembly is scheduled for September 26, where he will highlight Pakistan’s position on key issues such as the Kashmir dispute, the Palestinian cause, and the global challenge of climate change.
Sources have also indicated the possibility of a meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and U.S. President Donald Trump, where bilateral ties and regional security will be on the agenda.
In addition, the Prime Minister will participate in a high-level conference on September 22, focused on the two-state solution for Palestine and broader discussions on peace and stability in the Middle East.
