Former federal minister Mushahid Hussain Syed has said that India had no knowledge about the defense agreement between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, describing it as a complete surprise for New Delhi. He added that India has been openly supporting Israel’s aggression.
Speaking on Geo Pakistan, Hussain stated that after the attack on Qatar, the United States deceived Arab countries, resulting in a complete collapse of trust in Washington. He further said that the Pakistan-Saudi defense pact would certainly make Israel nervous.
According to him, the United States has destroyed its own foreign policy in pursuit of protecting Israel’s interests.
It is worth mentioning that last night, Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif signed the Strategic Mutual Defense Agreement (SMDA) between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. The pact aims to strengthen both nations’ security and reflects their shared commitment to regional and global peace.
The agreement will enhance integration and readiness of both countries’ defense capabilities, ensuring they can collectively face any potential threats. Under its clauses, an armed attack on either country will be considered an attack on both.
