The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the latest T20 player rankings, with Pakistan’s Saim Ayub rising to the top as the world’s number one all-rounder.
According to the updated list, Saim Ayub jumped four places to secure the number one position, overtaking India’s Hardik Pandya. Pakistan’s Mohammad Nawaz also improved by four spots to move up to 13th place.
In the batting rankings, India’s Abhishek Sharma has retained his number one position, while Sri Lanka’s Pathum Nissanka climbed two spots to reach fifth place.
Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav slipped two places to eighth. Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan made significant progress, leaping 11 spots to claim 13th place. On the other hand, Babar Azam dropped two places to 37th, and Mohammad Rizwan slipped three places to 41st.
Pakistan’s Faheem Ashraf also improved his standing, moving up four places to 35th. In the bowling category, India’s Varun Chakravarthy held onto the top spot, while Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed fell three places to seventh.
India’s Kuldeep Yadav surged nine spots to reach 12th, and Pakistan’s Shaheen Shah Afridi climbed 12 places to 14th. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Sufiyan Muqeem dropped three places to 19th.
India’s pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah also rose 12 places to 29th, while Pakistan’s Haris Rauf slipped five spots to 33rd.
