The Peshawar High Court has granted protective bail to newly elected Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi until November 18. The court has also directed the authorities not to arrest him in any case during this period and has sought a detailed record of all cases registered against him.
According to Dunya News, the plea for protective bail and case details was heard by a two-member bench comprising Justice Ejaz Anwar and Justice Naeem Anwar. The bench stressed the importance of a fair legal process and called for transparency in presenting the case records.
Granting interim relief, the court instructed the concerned departments to submit a comprehensive report before the next hearing to ensure that the legal proceedings remain transparent and just.
