Lahore: An anti-terrorism court has acquitted Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz in the NAB office attack case. The court announced its reserved verdict on the case related to the incident that occurred during Maryam Nawaz’s appearance before NAB.
The court accepted the prosecution’s request to dismiss the case and formally cleared Maryam Nawaz of all charges. The decision was based on the prosecution’s report indicating that the required evidence to substantiate the allegations was not found.
According to the police report submitted to the court, the accusations against Maryam Nawaz and others regarding stone-pelting at the NAB office could not be proven through any evidence.
It is worth mentioning that the case was registered in 2020 at the Chuhang police station in connection with the incident that took place during Maryam Nawaz’s visit to the NAB office.
