Protecting your basic rights is the responsibility of the court, it is essential that we cooperate with each other. Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandyal says that differences have to be removed for the development of the country.
Speaking at an event in the Quetta registry of the Supreme Court, Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Umar Ata Bandial, said that despite having resources, we have not made progress. Sacrifices have to be made for progress, everyone has to contribute to peace and security in society, and we should not let go of honesty and integrity.
Justice Umar Ata Bandial stated that all decisions, even if controversial, are made in accordance with the Constitution and the law, and we must maintain respect for the Constitution and the law. Failure to do so will result in chaos, and the behavior seen in lower courts is unacceptable. To promote national development, we must resolve disputes.
He further stated that it is the supremacy of law that stabilizes and develops a country, and we should resolve our differences with each other. He assured that we will make decisions according to the Constitution. He said that the judiciary is striving for the enforcement of the Constitution, and the existence of the state is like that of a mother. The state’s job is to protect its citizens, and it is also our job to protect national institutions. If there is no respect for the law and the judiciary, there will be chaos.
Justice Umar Ata Bandial urged everyone to come together in current circumstances and make sacrifices for progress. The behavior seen in District Judiciary is condemnable.
