Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari, in his message on the occasion of Jammu Martyrs’ Day, said that the tragedy of November 6, 1947, was the worst massacre in the history of the subcontinent.
He said that the Dogra army, RSS, and armed groups martyred more than 200,000 Muslims in Jammu, while half a million Muslims were forced to migrate.
According to the President, the international community did not give this genocide the attention it deserved. The sacrifices of Kashmir are still a reminder of an unfinished story, and India’s illegal occupation continues to deny the rights of the people of Kashmir.
He said that the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35-A is part of a dangerous plan for demographic change, Indian actions are a violation of the Geneva Convention, and the international community should not remain silent on these atrocities.
President Zardari said that Pakistan pays tribute to the martyrs of Jammu and will continue to provide moral, political, and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri people. We stand with the Kashmiris in their struggle for justice, dignity, and freedom
