The federal government has officially announced new prices for petroleum products for the next fifteen days, under which the price of petrol has been kept unchanged, while the per-litre price of diesel has been reduced by Rs14.
On Monday, the government finalized the new prices of petroleum products, following which the Petroleum Division of the Ministry of Energy issued a formal notification. According to the notification, the revised prices will remain in effect for the next fifteen days.
As per the notification, the price of petrol has been maintained at Rs263.45 per litre, whereas the price of high-speed diesel has been reduced by Rs14 per litre, bringing the new diesel price down to Rs265.65 per litre.
The notification further stated that the new prices of petroleum products have come into effect from 12 midnight tonight and will remain applicable for the next fifteen days.
Earlier, on December 1, the government had reduced the price of petrol by Rs2 per litre, while high-speed diesel was made cheaper by Rs4.79 per litre.
