Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Suhail Afridi has announced a significant increase in the compensation amount for the families of martyrs, raising it from Rs5 million to Rs10 million. The announcement was made during a meeting with the families of security forces personnel who were martyred during the Pakistan-India war.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister also announced an increase in financial assistance for injured personnel, enhancing the amount from Rs1 million to Rs2.5 million, aimed at providing greater support to affected personnel and their families.
On the occasion, Chief Minister Suhail Afridi stated that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government stands shoulder to shoulder with the families of martyrs and deeply values their sacrifices. He said that martyrs are a source of pride for the nation and assured that the government will continue to take care of their families. He further emphasized that the sacrifices of the people and forces of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are a strong guarantee of the country’s security and stability.
