Police officials said that eight terrorists involved in an attack on a police mobile in Karak district were killed during a subsequent exchange of fire, including the wanted militant Arif, alias Don.
According to police sources, intense firing took place during the operation, resulting in the elimination of the key suspect involved in the attack, while the security situation in the area has been brought fully under control.
Police confirmed that five police personnel were martyred in the terrorist attack, sacrificing their lives while performing their official duties.
The funeral prayers of the martyred police officials were attended by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, the Chief Secretary, and KP Inspector General of Police Zulfiqar Hameed, who paid tribute to the fallen officers.
