The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has issued a formal clarification stating that internet services across the country will remain fully operational and uninterrupted on January 15.
According to the PTA, reports circulating about a possible suspension or disruption of internet services are false, misleading, and entirely baseless. The authority emphasized that such claims do not reflect the actual status of the country’s telecommunications infrastructure.
The PTA explained that routine maintenance work on submarine cables is currently underway; however, these technical procedures will not impact internet connectivity, speed, or service continuity for users.
The authority further stated that continuous monitoring of network systems is being carried out to ensure smooth operations and maintain service quality. Relevant teams remain on high alert to promptly address any technical issues should they arise.
The PTA also urged the public to rely only on verified and official sources for information related to internet services and to avoid spreading unconfirmed news.
