Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz stated that Mianwali ruled Punjab and Pakistan for four years, yet the district did not witness the level of development that people had hoped for.
Addressing a public gathering in Mianwali, she said the days were gone when leaders would secure votes from the area and then neglect the people. She added that those who claimed development during the PML-N tenure was limited to Lahore should now visit Mianwali and see the progress themselves.
Maryam Nawaz said that facilities such as the Green Bus service and modern medical hospitals, previously associated mainly with Lahore, are now being extended to Mianwali as well. She emphasized that she believes in practical performance rather than mere claims and added that if granted three more years, Punjab’s destiny would change and Mianwali would no longer remain deprived.
Without naming Imran Khan, she criticized the previous leadership, saying that despite having four years in power, they failed to bring meaningful development to Mianwali. She urged the people to make informed decisions in the future and not fall for false promises.
She also announced the establishment of a College of Allied Health Professionals, an Agriculture College, and a Law College in Mianwali to provide quality education opportunities to local youth.
